NACSA Communities

For more than a decade, NACSA has offered unparalleled expertise and guidance for charter school authorizers at the national level; however, we know that many of our members face challenges that are unique to specific authorizer type and that authorizer employees have interests that are determined by work setting or job function.

For these reasons, NACSA is pleased to introduce a new feature to help better serve the needs of our members—NACSA Communities. These groups allow authorizers with mutual interests to meet, share resources, and collaborate through a variety of methods to advance practice, build networks, and foster a professional community of authorizers committed to quality.

The five new NACSA Communities are:

  • The Financial Accountability Community for authorizing professionals working in the area of financial oversight;
  • The District Authorizer Community for authorizing professionals working with local school districts;
  • The Independent Statewide Chartering Board Community for authorizing professionals and board members working for or serving independent statewide authorizers;
  • The Authorizing Heads of Office Community for the leaders of authorizing offices; and
  • The Education Reform Policy Community for state and national education reform groups, including state charter associations, to come together to discuss important issues related to charter school authorizing.

NACSA members receive access to one community per organizational membership. The NACSA Plus package provides complimentary access to two additional communities or members may purchase access to additional communities for $150 per community.
